Guide to Chicago Wedding Day Transportation

From getting to the church, to moving your bridal party around the city for a photo session, AND getting back to your venue, transportation plays an extremely important part of your wedding day. Oh, and don't forget about your ride at the end of the night! There are many great options for transportation on your wedding day. Your options all depend  on the "feel" you want, how many people you need to transport, and of course, budget. And remember, you don't need to stick with one specific mode of transportation all day! Use a trolley to take your bridal party around the city, but have your guests take a  bus to the reception; just one of many options!

Here are our favorite ways to get around...

Trolley The old fashioned trolley is vintage, fun, and bridal parties absolutely love it! Although it's the priciest option, it really sets the fun atmosphere on that perfect summer wedding day.

Limo Bus Just a little extra pizzaz over a regular bus to get your party started early! It usually has wrap-around seating and fits anywhere from 20 - 30 people.

Mini Bus A popular choice for couples who have a larger bridal party as the buses come in a variety of sizes! It's also great for transporting your guests to their hotel after the reception. The mini buses hold anywhere from 14 - 35 people, and is the most affordable choice for larger groups!

Vintage Cars There is nothing classier and more romantic then sitting in the back seat of a classic set of wheels on your way to the church, or to end your wedding night!

Limo Limos seem to be the traditional ride when it comes to weddings. Ideally, they are great for those bride and grooms who don't have a huge bridal party. Because lets face it; no one likes trying to crawl in and out, and the wedding dress can take up about three seats! Although if you have your heart set on this classic ride, stretch limos and stretch SUV's are a great alternative!

Town Car Just the bride and groom? Or looking to pick up a VIP wedding guest at their hotel? A town car is a great choice. Small but regal, and more budget friendly than the limo!

And because it's so accessible (right on your phone) it's not just your family or bridal party who can ride in an Uber SUV or black car, it's especially great for your wedding guests! Uber makes it quite easy to do. When you sign up with Uber Weddings, you'll receive a personalized promo code which is good for $20 off any guests' first ride (which includes the black cars. Very.
