These California love-birds, Cory & Mike, could not have been more relaxed, carefree, and loving. Their wedding at Fulton's on the River (now River Roast) gave them the urban styled wedding they were looking for. Cory wanted candles, candles, and more candles -- which Larkspur sure delivered! Michigan-photographer, Summer Jean Photography, traveled to Chicago to capture some truly special moments. And let me say, it was such an emotionally filled day, that even the Fulton's staff were wiping away tears...
Can we just take a moment to admire Cory's beaded dress? Oh, BHLDN....
The bridesmaids were all in sequins and glitter. They are fantastic hanging...but wait till you see them on!
Cory & Mike wanted to take their photos at locations that said "Chicago!" I can't think of two better places than the Lakefront and "The Bean!"
We are CRAZY for these mixed-metallic bridesmaids dresses!!
Cory made such a stunning bride with her hair and make-up by Sara and Ashley of Sonia Roselli....
...and Mike was so dapper in his checkered suit!
For the ceremony, Larkspur adorned the entire room in candles. Down the aisle, along the windows...
Cory & Mike presented each other with a single red rose. For the past three years, Mike always made sure Cory had fresh red roses on her dresser (I know, how sweet?!) They wanted to make sure that this special tradition was a part of their day.
Larkspur did an amaaazing job creating the perfect centerpiece collection. The mercury glass enhanced the urban look of the room - with a pop of floral on each table.
The most magical part of the reception? The industrial lights strung over the dance floor and down the cement columns. Normally, they are not there...we think they should be all the time ;).
Every toast that evening was filled with tears of joy and happiness. Cory's sister, accompanied by her boyfriend on the ukulele, wrote an original song about her sister and new brother-in-law that was full of wit and memories. Everyone, myself included, was feeling that lump in their throat and a Fulton's staff member was letting the tears flow. By far one of the most beautiful 'speeches' I've heard!
Cory surprised Mike with a Homer Simpson Donut groom's cake.....Mike's face was priceless. Do you see that boyish grin?!
Cory & Mike ended their night with Garrett's popcorn favors, a 'cigar lounge' on the veranda, and lots of dancing!
Thank you, Cory & Mike, for being such an adorable and easy going couple to work with :)
