We’ve been feeling super inspired lately, and with spring finally here, we’ve been dreaming of fun refreshing color palettes. Our new blog series, Color Palettes We Love, will focus a single-color story that we are dying to be creative with.
Rich & Bright Jewel Tones
Our latest muse was so inspiring that we have actually designed our upcoming 2019 Sweetchic team photo shoot around it too -stay tuned.
Jewel Tones already had its big trendy moment a while back, but we never want it to leave. It’s so luxurious and rich, and a color scheme we believe can be be used all year round. Most people think the rich jewel tones like deep wines, plums, golds, and emeralds are ‘fall’ or ‘winter’, but pairing them with the brighter, bolder tones allows them to transition through spring and summer.
There she is - this month’s muse! We love how the darker colors of emerald green, burgundy & eggplant basically become a backdrop for the brighter jewel tones of berry, topaz, peaches, and golden yellow.

Centerpieces & Linen
Centerpieces are obviously always the first way people think about incorporating their color palette into their wedding day. We like to think about how the floral work with the linen as well. Instead of a neutral color like white or grey, upgrade to playful jewel tones in your linen as well.
Paper Goods
Menus, Programs, Escort Cards, Invitation Suites….the list goes on.
Lighting, Draping, Hanging Installations and Furniture
More unique places to use these jewel tones, but probably the most impactful way!. Using a few of these elements togoether will really create a wow factor, like a lounge setting underneath a jewel toned canopy or hanging floral.
