Hannah & Kevin's Ovation Wedding - Part 2

Welcome back! Last week we shared photos from the first half of Hannah and Kevin's wedding day, and now we're back for Part 2! The interior of their wedding venue, Ovation, veers towards an urban, industrial, masculine aesthetic, with lots of exposed brick, metal, and wood. So it was important that we bring in lush greenery elements to soften up the look. Their stationery products created by Side Street Designs included a soft greenery motif and we love these escort cards that were printed on kraft paper for a more rustic look.

A room "flip", which is when the ceremony room is "flipped" into the reception space, can be challenging... but not a problem when you have a great vendor team like Blue Plate Catering and Davenport Design! It was so fun bringing these farm tables to life with an eclectic mix of long garlands of greenery, metal lanterns, glass cloches that enclosed flowers and moss (Beauty and the Beast, anyone?), moss balls, succulents, and candles galore! Pops of burgundy and deep orange flowers accented the greens. And for a quirky twist, instead of typical table numbers, they named the dining tables after their favorite episodes of The Office. Awesome.

Oh, and the food! Hannah and Kevin didn't envision a traditional sit down dinner... food was one of their big priorities, and they wanted a fun, interactive experience for their guests to include their favorite foods! Blue Plate created a mouth-watering menu within the three food stations:  "Asian Street Style" (Asian comfort food), "South of the Mason Dixon" (Southern fare), and "Taste of Italy" (Italian favorites). Think mini steamed baos, bulgogi tacos, soba noodles, dumplings... BBQ Brisket, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits (in the tiny silver buckets!)... veal marsala sliders, gnocci, and an incredible display of Italian veggies.

Thank you, Hannah and Kevin, for letting me be a part of your big day!
